ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday excused himself from hearing the petition challenging cancelation of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf s bail in judges detention case.
During today s proceedings, the Chief Justice directed the Registrar Office to refer the case to another bench and fix the hearing for next week.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had rejected Musharraf s pre-arrest bail in a case pertaining to the detention of superior judiciary judges during 2007 emergency in the country imposed by the former military chief following suspension of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
