Tourists killing: Ukraine PM set up committee to probe killing

Summary Ukraine PM has constituted a committee to investigate killing Ukrainian tourists In Pakistan.

 

ISLAMABAD (Agencies) - Ukraine Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has given an order to set up an interagency response team at the Cabinet of Ministers to investigate circumstances of deaths of Ukrainian citizens in the terrorist attack in Pakistan and also to lend help to the bereaved families.

 

The Government will organise transportation of the lost Ukrainians' bodies to their home land, and will provide necessary assistance to their families.

 

Moreover, the Foreign Affairs Ministry has been tasked to arrange a round-the-clock contact centre and to render comprehensive aid to the bereaved relatives in Ukraine, promptly inform about the fate of other Ukrainians who are staying on the territory of Pakistan.

 

The Foreign Ministry stays in touch with the Pakistani authorities and swiftly provides information about the results received.

 

According to the statement, a group of tourists was gunned down in the area of Nanga Parbat Mountain, Gilgit Baltistan province in the early hours of Sunday.
