Maulana Yasir was shot dead by some unidentified people in Shah Faisal Colony. His dead body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
A dead body was found from bushes near Lasbela. According to police the victim was tortured and then murdered.
In another incident, a man was killed and another was injured in firing near Ghas Mandi while a man was shot dead near Dua Hotel at Maripur Road.
Dead bodies of two persons, whose hands and legs were tied with ropes, were found from Ibrahim Haidri area. The victims were tortured and then shot dead. Dead body of a man, whose legs and hands were also tied with ropes, was found from Shershah area.
A dead body stuffed in a sack was found from Adam Khan Road in Lyari.
Meanwhile, some unknown people opened fire on a car and killed a resident of Musa Lane namely Muhammad Altaf near Gate No 15 in Lyari.
