Summary Sherpao says stable and peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD (Online) - Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Monday demanded of the government to convene All Parties Conference on terrorism and law & order situation in the country.
During the budget debate in National Assembly, the QWP Chairman said that mechanism should be cleared that how to implement the 14-point agenda on National Security evolved during in-camera sessions of both the Houses.
He said that in future in-camera meetings should not be held and all matters should be made public.
Sherpao said that stable and peaceful Afghanistan is in the best interest of Pakistan. He advised the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to visit Afghanistan to end misunderstandings with both the countries.
He appreciated the government’s decision of ending secret funds. Talking about imposition of General Sales Tax (GST), he said that GST should not be imposed until it was passed from the National Assembly.
The Chairman QWP said that the government should continue the financial support of federally Administrative Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and likewise of Balochistan.
He said that KP is badly hit by the terrorism and it lost more than Rs 100 billion, therefore, the government should support KP in this regard.
