QUETTA (Dunya News) - At least 11 female students were killed and 19 others injured when a blast hit a bus near Quetta’s Women University on Baruri road.
According to preliminary reports, the blast took place in a bus parked in the university. An emergency was announced in the Bolan Medical Compelex where the dead and injured were being shifted after the blast.
Hospital sources confirmed that 5 female students were killed and 17 others injured in the blast. They said that several students were in critical condition. Identities of the deceased and injured were yet to be known.
Police and rescue workers rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area. The attack comes hours after militants attacked Quaid-e-Azam residency in Ziarat area of Balochistan, resting place of Pakistan s founding father Muhammad Ali Jinnah, with rocket attacks.
