PESHAWAR (Online) - Minister for Health and Information Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has said that Rs 320 million in respect of salaries of Lady Health Workers of the province has been released by government.


Talking to media he said that Chief Minister has released the funds under 18th constitutional amendment. The federal government blocked salaries of LHWs, these LHWs were working under the federal funded program in various healthcare institutions of province.

 

He revealed that the health budget has been increased from Rs 7 billion to 8 billion. Education and health sectors will be on top priority of PTI government.

 

He said that three hospitals of province LRH, KTH and HMC are overburdened; however, there would be no shortage of funds and resources.


The only thing we need is to mend our attitude and we hope that visible change would be brought in healthcare facilities in Peshawar and then we will go down to district level, he added.
