Summary At least 19 peacocks have died in different areas of Tharparkar due to viral disease ‘Ranikhet’.
THARPARKAR (Dunya News) - Viral disease Ranikhat has killed about 19 more peacocks in different areas of Tharparkar. According to an official of the Sindh wildlilfe department, the number of birds died of disease has reached 40 in a week.
The official said so far the peacocks had died in the Sajai, Bhabri, Kharwaro and Kerelo villages of Deeplo Tehsil.
Last year also this disease had killed around 170 beautiful peacocks before the monsoon season.
