NA Speaker orders inquiry into media gallery disorder

Summary Supporters of PML-N raised slogans and occupied media gallery of the assembly.

 

ISLAMABAD (Online) - The speaker of National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq has ordered an inquiry into chaos in media gallery as supporters of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) occupied spaces in media gallery during the session for election of next Premier.

 

As Wednesday session stated, supporters of PML-N raised slogans and occupied media gallery of the assembly.

 

As situation got worst, a delegation of media persons met the speaker who later went to media gallery and requested supporters to vacate the gallery.

 

Ayaz Sadiq said he would inquire how extra passes issued beyond the capacity of guest galleries.

 

On point of order, PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said it was responsibility of speaker to stop supporters to raise slogans which is against the rule of the Parliament.

 

Qureshi also mentioned the chaos in media gallery between journalists and PML-N supporters.
