Summary Almost all Parliamentary parties congratulated PM Nawaz Sharif and vowed their support in good-work

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - PPPP leader Makhdoom Amin Fahim congratulated Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on his election as the leader of the house. He said his party will extend full cooperation to the new government to defend the constitution and parliament against any adventurism.

 

He recounted the achievements of the previous government and said it laid the foundation of a strong democracy. He paid tributes to all the political parties for cooperating with the PPP led government.

 

Amin Fahim demanded the new government to complete Pakistan-Iran Gas Pipeline project which he termed is in the best interest of the country.

 

He also said that agencies role in the politics must be discouraged in the future as enough is enough‚ democracy must be given a space.

 

Congratulating the newly elected leader of the house‚ Makhdoom Javed Hashmi said it is a historic day today when supremacy of constitution and democracy has been established. He said Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaaf will fully cooperate with the new government to devise a strategy to combat the drone attacks for ensuring sovereignty of Pakistan.

 

Hashmi suggested the new government to take along the small provinces to bring peace there and ensure their development. He said his party will play constructive role as opposition. However‚ it will extend full cooperation to the government to resolve the problems of the people.

 

Javed Hashmi urged the new government to hold local bodies elections at the earliest which are essential to shift the power to the grass roots level.


Mahmoud Khan Achakzai suggested that those judges who did not accept the orders of the dictators should be declared national heroes and they should be paid their salaries. Similarly those judges who supported dictatorship should be condemned.

 

He said there should be no persecution against anyone as the country which is passing through a critical phase requires consensus and unanimous policies. He said Islamic principles should be followed to ensure justice in the country. Achakzai said there should be no role of the military and the secret agencies in politics.


JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman also expressed his greetings to Nawaz Sharif for becoming third time Prime Minister. He said Pakistan was not a secular country as its foundation was built on Islamic ideology.


Fazl said to improve economy, law and order situation of the country would have to be improved.


MQM leader Farooq Sattar, on occasion, congratulated Nawaz Sharif saying that it was good gesture of newly elected PM to take all political forces onboard to make a new Pakistan.


Sattar said he and his party appreciated Nawaz Sharif’s concern for Karachi adding that law and order situation of financial hub of the country must be resolved on top priority basis.


Sheikh Rasheed, chief of Awami Pakistan Muslim League, also congratulated Nawaz Sharif for Premiership. He said the leaders who were production of dictatorship were today making speeches against the dictators.


Sheikh said economy of the country was about to collapse as PIA, railways and steel mills were producing nothing.
