Summary A three-judge Supreme Court bench will resume Musharraf treason case today.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A three-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC), headed by Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja, will resume hearing of a set of petitions seeking the initiation of a treason case against the former president Pervez Musharraf today.
During previous hearing, the apex court ordered the petitioner to submit the record of Maulvi Iqbal Haider’s petition from Sindh High Court.
Petitioner Maulvi Iqbal Haider’s counsel A.K. Dogar said how rulers would learn lesson from the history if the man who violated the constitution is treated as VIP.
Justice Jawad S Khwaja consulted the petitioner to suggest punishment for the accused.
Replying the query, learned counsel A.K.Dogar said that the issue should be referred to the special trial court which would take ultimate decision regarding penalty of Pervez Musharraf.
