QUETTA (Dunya News) - Newly elected members of the Balochistan Assembly took oath in the inaugural session of the house on Saturday.
Speaker Matiullah Agha presided over the session.
Two members of Balochistan National Party-Mengal and one MPA-elect belonging to Balochistan National Party-Awami didn’t take oath.
Balochistan Assembly has strength of 65 members‚ including 11 women elected on reserved seats.
Pakistan Muslim League-N emerged as the largest single party with 18 seats followed by Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party 14‚ National Party 11‚ JUI-F 8‚ BNP-Mengal 2 and ANP‚ BNP-Awami‚ Jamot Qaumi Movement and Majlis Wahdat-ul Muslmeen have one seat each. The number of independent candidates in the assembly is four.
The election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Balochistan Assembly will be held on June 4.
