KHYBER AGENCY (Dunya News) - Security forces in a successful operation have captured western heights of Maidan area in Khyber Agency.
Security forces launched an operation in Para Chamkani area of Kurram and Maidan in Khyber agencies. After tough resistance from terrorists security forces have established foothold on Mohammadi top in Kurram agency while captured Haider Kandao.
All dominating heights of area have also been cleared and occupied by forces.
During exchange of fire 19 militants were killed while 12 injured. Three soldiers including an officer also martyred and three others injured.
Locals of the area have formed village defence committee to protect their villages against any counter attack by terrorists.
