Summary The citizens have expressed concern against the unscheduled loadshedding across the country.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - With weather warming up in most parts of the country, demand for electricity has risen above 15,400MW with power generation still well below 9,700MW. As a result, urban citizens are suffering from up to 16 hours of loadshedding and rural ones close to 20 hours.
Meanwhile, increase in electricity loadshedding in cities across the country has also adversely affected the lives of citizens besides creating water shortage and halting commercial activities.
Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot and adjoining areas were also facing worst loadshedding.
The citizens have complained that people who pay their dues regularly were being victimized due to defaulters of millions of rupees and the corrupt practices of the distribution companies staff.
