Summary Police resort to baton charge after PTI and PML-N workers clash in Defence area.

 

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters held a protest demonstration at Ghazi Chowk in Defence area on Sunday and alleged that polls in NA-125 were rigged by PML-N candidate Khawaja Saad Rafique.


Meanwhile, PML-N supporters celebrating the victory of their party also arrived at the scene and a clash started between both parties after shouting of slogans against each other.


Police baton-charged to disperse the protesters but they refused to leave the spot.


PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique said that PTI should accept the result because voters of the constituency decided to elect him.


On the other hand, PTI candidate Hamid Khan submitted a petition to the Returning Officer against the alleged rigging.


The PTI activists also held protest at Shaukat Khanum Chowk and demanded immediate action against those involved in the alleged rigging.
