CEC thanks polling staff, forces, media

Summary Fakhurddin G Ibrahim said PEC has fulfilled the promise of holding free and fair elections.

 

ISLAMABAD: Addressing a press conference Chief Election Commission Fakhurddin G Ibraim said he was thankful to polling staff, security agencies,  administration and media for their good work during the elections.


He said like the outgoing government, the coming government will also complete its tenure.


“First responsibility of the new government is to improve the law and order situation and ensure good governance,” he said.


About the delay in polling in two Karachi constituencies he said polling staff was hijacked, adding replloing will be conducted in 42 constituencies of Karachi.   


He appreciated the voters for good turnout and role of media that kept on motivating the voter to cast their votes.


He said Pakistan Election Commission has fulfilled its promise of holding free and fair elections.
