LAHORE (Dunya News) – Fire at Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Plaza is finally under control after 20 hours of struggle, authorities said on Friday.
The blaze in the13-story building, which had broken out at 11:40 AM on Thursday, killed at least nine people and injured several others.
It was not immediately known how many people were in the building when the fire erupted.
Some of those in the building managed to reach the roof from where they were rescued by military helicopters.
Among the dead, four died after jumping from window sills, the report said.
The authorities suspect an electric short circuit on the seventh floor, that might have started the blaze.
