Summary The apex court on Monday has allowed Rana Jamil Hussan to contest polls from Nankan Sahih.
The Supreme Court while setting aside the Lahore High Court order has allowed PML-N provincial candidate to contest elections from Nankana Sahib.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News):-PML-N leader Rana Jamil Hassan had filed an appeal in the Supreme Court after being disqualified by the Lahore High Court.
Three-member bench headed by Justice Tasaddaq Hussain conducted hearing of the appeal.
During hearing, the learned counsel Akram Sheikh on the part of Rana Jamil argued that his client had deposited the due amount in the bank before scrutiny of nomination papers. The candidate can’t be declared disqualified after payment of the amount.
The court while giving permission to PML-N candidate Rana Jamil Hassan has issued notice to Attorney General for explanation of legal points.
The copy of court order also has been dispatched to the Election Commission for implementation.
