LAHORE (Dunya News) – A petition seeking the release of Indian spy Sarabjit Singh along with the other prisoners who have completed their life imprisonment has been filed in Supreme Court’s Lahore registry.
The petition was filed by barrister Zafarullah on Monday.
In his petition, he argued that Sarabjit Singh and other prisoners have completed their imprisonment, adding that a criminal cannot be punished for twice for same crime under the law.
He said that the prisoners were not given capital punishment during their sentence, therefore, they should be released now.
