ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court will resume hearing petitions today seeking initiation of a high treason case against former president Pervez Musharraf.
A three-member bench, comprising ustice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan would take up the case instead of the two-member bench that heard it previously.
Meanwhile, a bomb proof wall to be erected around the Chak Shehzad Farm House due to security concern.
During previous hearing, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had rejected a request by Musharraf’s counsel seeking formation of a full court bench minus the chief justice and constituted the three-member bench.
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday sent former president Pervez Musharraf on a 14-day judicial remand in the judges’ detention case and the administration declared Musharraf’s farmhouse at Chak Shehzad as sub-jail and shifted him there as a prisoner.
