ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The former president and military ruler Pervez Musharraf has submitted a plea in Supreme Court to constitute a full bench to hear the  treason case against him.

The petition, submitted by Musharraf’s counsels, requested the court to constitute a full bench to hear the case.

The petition further said that the case involved a number of constitutional and legal complications for which a full bench of the apex court was significant.

The petition has also requested the court to review the verdict of July 31, 2009, adding that only a bench of 14 judges found Musharraf guilty of treason in the judgment.
