ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday disposed of the case pertaining to security protocol and privileges for former premiers and federal ministers.
A five-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry heard the case.
Interior Secretary Khwaja Muhammad Siddique Akbar informed the court that notification regarding the provision of lifetime protocol and security for former prime ministers and federal minister has been revoked, Radio Pakistan reported.
The Supreme Court had ordered suspension of the notification under which the former government functionaries were entitled to lifetime security and other perks.
