Summary Nominations papers the three leaders have been rejected for NA-51, NA 48 and NA 5.

 

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News/ Web Desk ) Pervez Musharraf s nomination papers for a parliamentary constituency in federal capital Islamabad’s NA-48 were rejected on Sunday, hours after his candidature was disallowed in another seat from NA-250 Karachi.


The former president however can now contest election from Chitral.


In their objection, petitioners stated that Musharraf was ineligible to contest elections since he facing several cases.
The Returning Officer, rejecting the papers, said that Musharraf did not fulfill the criteria established in the Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution.


The Returning Officer for a constituency at Kasur in Punjab had rejected Musharraf s nomination papers on Friday on the ground that the signature did not match the one on his national identity card.


Earler, former president’s nomination papers for NA-250 Karachi were rejected but were accepted for NA-32 Chitral on Sunday.

 

The returning officer of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rejected his papers for NA-250 on the basis of article 62 and 63 of the constitution.

 

Meanwhile, the Returning Officer on Sunday rejected the nomination papers of former PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf for NA-51 Gujar Khan.


Rejecting the papers, the RO said that apparently the ex-PM did not fulfill the criteria of article 62 and 63 as involved in corruption.

 

The constituency, NA-51, also include Gojar Khan, the native village of Ashraf.

 

Meanwhile, the nomination papers of PML-N leader and Pakistan former opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan were been rejected for NA-53 Taxila.

 

Objections were submitted with the returning officer that the PML-N leader had not declared accurate details of his assets.
