Summary Syed Salman Gilani was elected as an MNA from NA-165 constituency over PML-N's ticket.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – District and sessions judge in Peshawar on Thursday sentenced Khyber Pakhtunkhwa s former sports minister Syed Aqil Shah to one year in prison and awarded penalty of Rs 3,000 over holding fake degree.
Shah, who is a member of the Awami National Party, obtained his graduation degree from Lahore but the institution he graduated from was not yet recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). His degree was declared fake.
Smilarly, former member of National Assembly Syed Salman Gilani has been declared a proclaimed offender in fake degree case.
The judge has also ordered authorities to seize his property.
Syed Salman Gilani, belonging to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), was elected as an MNA from NA-165 Pakpattan during the 2008 election
On the other hand, a local court in Quetta reserved its judgment against former provincial minister Ali Madad Jattak over the case of holding a fake degree.
