Summary Parliamentary committee has failed to select the name of interim prime minister.
Now the body has decided to refer the issue to the election commission.
While speaking to the media, Chaudhry Shujaat said that it is regrettable to say that politicians have failed to reach on consensus in this regard.
PML-N Sa’ad Rafiq said that all the committee members fully cooperated and coordinated one another without underestimating anybody but unfortunately the body could not select the proper name for interim prime minister.
Farooq H Naik said that the politicians were given an opportunity to select caretaker prime minister for the first time in the history of Pakistan but they have failed to take proper action in this regard.
Syed Khurshed Shah said that everything is clear in the constitution and we would continue to follow it in its true spirit.
Mehtaf Abbasi while replying a query said that it is not failure of the politicians; rather the issue was so complicated that committee members could not reach on any final result.
