Summary Two leaders exchanged views over deadlock in selection of caretaker PM.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - JUI-F Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday telephoned PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and discussed current political situation.
The two leaders exchanged views over deadlock in talks between government and the Opposition for the selection of a caretaker prime minister as well as chief ministers in Punjab and Balochistan.
Maulana Fazl ur Rehman told Ch Shujaat that JUI-F had formed an alliance with PML-N but since they did not consult us on the care taker set up, which is against the norms of democracy, we decided to part ways with PML-N.
Maulana Fazl said that it is regrettable that PPP and PML-N have failed to reach a consensus on care taker PM.
In Balochistan, the Islamic National Democratic Alliance has nominated seven people, including five former judges, for the slot of caretaker chief minister in Balochistan where JUI-F is among the political stakeholders.
