Summary Supreme Court will start hearing of PM Raja Pervez petition in RPP case today.

The Supreme Court had accepted Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf s letter to Chief Justice of Pakistan as a petition in which he had requested constitution of judicial commission to look into rental power project (RPP) case.

The court registered the letter for appointment of an independent commission headed by Dr Shoaib Suddle, Federal Tax Ombudsman) in RPP case as Civil Miscellaneous Application for hearing and issued notice to Raja Pervez Ashraf to appear in person or through his lawyer.

The hearing of the Prime Minister s plea will be held today.

Ashraf requested Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Friday to form a commission with the contention that the RPP case was merely a propaganda against him and he is ready to be investigated.
