Summary Altaf Hussain says Pakistan is passing through critical times and law enforcers have failed.

KARACHI: In his telephonic address to labour conference Thursday MQM Chief Altaf Hussain said Hazara community was being killed mercilessly and government was a helpless spectator.

Situation in Sindh and Balochistan is clear to everyone, he said.

Altaf alleged that no action is taken in Karachi despite specific information by the intelligence, adding people feel some sense of security after operation by the Rangers.

Singing of national anthem in Balochistan is a risk, he said.

He said MQM had always sided with PPP in difficult times; adding PPP government would have collapsed if MQM had withdrawn its support earlier.

Altaf said Ishratul Ebad had resigned from office at the call of his conscience. “No power in the world can finish MQM and our desire for peace should not be considered as our weakness,” he said.
