ISLAMABAD (Online): Supreme Court has disposed of the Rawal Dam Pollution Case after the Special Secretary Cabinet Division Mushahidullah Baig gave written guarantee that no refuse is being dumped in Rawal Lake.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary resumed hearing of the suo motu case on Tuesday.
The Special Secretary Division held the stance that the entire specimens from Rawal Lake have been checked, and the water supplied from the Lake is in accordance with the principles of hygiene.
CDA and Cabinet Division have also directed WASA to send weekly report with reference to the water supplied from Rawal Dam.
