Summary Interior Minister says Punjab CM Shabaz Sharif is patronizing the terror activities in the country.

Rehman Malik has appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to summon Chief Minister of Punjab and ask him why he took no action against Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

He observed that Lashkar-e-Jhangvi is involved in a deal with Mian Shahbaz Sharif.

He expressed theses notions while addressing Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan program and later talking to the media, Rehman Malik claimed that Shahbaz Sharif had asked the Taliban to stop terror bids in Punjab as Shahbaz Sharif and the Taliban share a common agenda.

The Federal Government has not issued any arms licenses to Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s Malik Ishaq. He challenged that if anyone has reservations regarding this, he should go to the court, Malik added.

Furthering his statement, Rehman Malik said that if the provincial governments of Sindh and Balochistan had issued arms’ license to Malik Ishaq, its responsibility does not lie with the Federal Government.

“The Punjab Government is backing up Lashkar-e-Jhangvi. Why a case was not registered against Malik Ishaq when he termed Shiite Muslims of Faisalabad as ‘infidels’”, advocated Malik.

Had the Punjab Government taken timely action against Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, the terrorism incidents in Karachi and Quetta could have been avoided, he said.

Federal Interior Minister expressed the view that Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan supports Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, and they have joined hands against the innocent people.
