ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): Hearing the Karachi s law and order implementation case, the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) has dismissed the review petition filed by the Mutadidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) against SC’s order on delimitation of consitutencies in the city.

A five-member larger bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, heard the case at Supreme Court Karachi registry.

Hearing the review petition filed by MQM Deputy Convener Farooq Sattar over the delimitation in Karachi, the court stated that MQM’s lawyer Barrister Farogh Naseem could not satisfy the bench with his arguments. Consequently, the court disposed of the petition, adding that this bench had not given any order over constituencies.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) submitted a civil miscellaneous application (CMA), stating that fresh delimitation of the constituencies in Karachi was technically impossible.
