KARACHI (Online): Fire that erupted in National Medical Centre, a private hospital, on Tuesday morning was extinguished after hours’ long efforts.
The hospital, located at Kala Pul area of the city, suddenly caught fire creating panic among patients, doctors and other staff.
The staff, doctors and others went on the roof of the building after the hospital rooms were filled up with flames and smoke.
Fire brigade staff was called to extinguish the fire.
Rescue officials smashed windows to evacuate patients as the fire reached the second floor of the building.
