Summary President Zardari has asked Governor Balochistan to call in Army for targeted operation if needed.
President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday directed the Governor Balochistan to take all necessary measures for the security of Hazara community.
In his telephonic conversation with Governor Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi, the President asked him to personally monitor the relief operation and provide all possible help to the victims and their families.
The President inquired from the Governor about the situation in the province in the wake of bomb blast on Saturday in Quetta and the steps taken by the provincial government to apprehend the culprits.
According to sources, President has directed Governor Balochistan to call in army for a targeted operation ‘if it became necessary’.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf also telephoned governor Baluchistan Nawab Zulfiqar Magsi and Chief Secretary Baluchistan Baber Fateh Yaqoob and made it clear to all stake holders that no stone will remain unturned to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.
The Prime Minister has also constituted a five-member Parliamentary Delegation comprising Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Mir Khazar Khan Bijrani, Maula Buksh Chandio, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Nadeem Afzal Gondal and Senator Ms. Sughra Imam and directed it to visit Quetta to assess the situation arising out of a terrorist attack resulting in the martyrdom of over 80 civilians.
The team will meet the affected families as well as representatives of security and intelligence agencies, besides meeting the provincial administration.
The committee will submit a comprehensive report containing its assessment and recommendations.
