Abu Dhabi’s extends Tauqir Sadiq's detention till Feb 27

Summary The Abu Dhabi government has extended Tauqir Sadiq's detention till February 27.

 

Islamabad: A two member bench of the Supreme Court heard a case regarding Tauqir Sadiq's return to home.

 

The NAB officials informed the court that the Abu Dhabi government extended former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) Chief Tauqir Sadiq’s custody till February 27, adding that the the detention had been extended because Sadiq’s passport was expired.

 

The court also asked the FIA if they received any written documentation regarding Sadiq’s detention.

 

In his reply to the court, NAB’s prosecutor general said that he wrote to the UAE embassy regarding his deportation on February 13 but has not received any response yet.
