BARA (Dunya News ) – As many as eight militants attacked the office of a political agent, situated on Bara Road in Peshwar, killing five security personnel while injuring five others on Monday.
At least two blasts and gun fire was heard near the office. A suicide bomber blew himself near the political agent’s office whereas details of the second explosion were not clear.
According to witnesses, the militants were camouflaged in levies uniform.
An exchange of fire between security officials and armed men took place for ten minutes. However, the firing has been halted after which the security personnel have started evacuating the office.
According to details, a jirga of political parties was underway when the militants attacked the office. Meanwhile, the Peshawar road has been blocked for public transport.
