Martyred Pakistani soldier, Akhlaq Ahmed, will be laid to rest with full military honour in his hometown village Bainso, tehsil Kalar Sadian, Rawalpindi today (Saturday).
Pakistani soldier Akhlaq Ahmed was martyred on Thursday night after he inadvertently crossed LoC in Khoi Ratta sector.
India on Friday handed over soldier’s body to Pakistani authorities. According to the statement of the ISPR, the body was handed over to Pakistani authorities during flag meeting in Laam Sector.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has strongly condemned killing of the soldier and called upon the India government to carry out a thorough investigation into this unfortunate incident and to ensure that such incidents do not recur.
