India to return Pak soldier's body today: ISPR

Summary Indian Army has acceded to return body of martyred soldier to Pakistan today.


LAHORE (Dunya News) Pakistan Army’s Director General Military Operations (DGMO) contacted with his Indian counterpart on Friday regarding returning body of Pakistani soldier.

 

According to ISPR, Pakistani soldier Ikhlaq Ahmad erroneously had crossed the Line of Control and entered the territory under the control of Indian forces.

 

Having information about the error of judgment, Pakistan Army’s DGMO contacted the Indian Army and asked them to return Pak soldier but it came to know that Pakistani soldier Ikhlaq Ahmad had embraced martyrdom and his body would be handed over to Pakistan today (Friday).


According to sources, 22-year soldier hailed from Kalar Sydan and had been rendering service in Pakistan Army for last four years.
