Summary According to the election commission, the welfare projects would carry on without any hurdle.


So far as the issuance of foreign funds in other projects is concerned, it would also be decided by the Election Commission.
The ECP has taken the decision to ban on recruitments and delivery of funds under section 3 of Article 218 of the constitution.


Election Commission of Pakistan has maintained the ban on appointments in government institutions.


ISLAMABAD: The ban will not be applicable on constitutional institutions such as the Supreme and High courts.


Appointments can also take place on vacancies advertised before 31 August, 2012.


Issuing its order on Friday, the ECP also upheld its decision to ban the diversion of funds allocated for development projects.


The government had filed a plea for lifting the ban that Election Commission had imposed on recruitment in all public departments and diversion of development funds.
