ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, heard the petitions relating electoral reforms on Thursday.
The chief justice observed that complaints were being received regarding non-implementation of the Supreme Court s verdict regarding voters verification in Karachi.
The chief justice sought information about division of Karachi for voters verification, asking when did the process began and how many military personnel took part in the process.
He said that the secretary defence would also be asked after reply from the election commission. He said that the court will ask about right to vote for overseas Pakistanis during next hearing.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan s lawyer Hamid Khan said that door-to-door verification of voters list has not yet been started.
The hearing was adjourned till February 13.
