Summary Begum Shehnaz submits list of 20 dual-national parliamentarians in SC.
ISLAMABAD: Former MNA Shehnaz Sheikh has nominated 20 lawmakers in the list of dual-nationality holders, Dunya News reported.
The list was submitted in the Supreme Court on Monday.
Those mentioned in the list include petroleum advisor Dr Asim Hussain, Sabin Rizvi, Araish Kumar, Tayyab Hussain, Dr nadeem Ahsan, MQM’s Haider Abbas Rivzi, Raza Haroon Fauzi Ejaz, Doctor Tarhir Ali Javed, Jameel Ashraf, Murad Ali Shah and Sadiq Ali Memon .
Begum Shehnaz prayed to court that most of these members are currently serving on their posts, however, no action has been taken against them.
She stated that she had resigned from assembly membership, yet, she was directed to return the withdrawn salaries and allowances.
Shehnaz urged court to take indiscriminate action against dual-national parliamentarians.
