Summary US has said that dialogue is the right way to resolve differences between Pakistan and India.

Briefing newsmen in Washington, State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland has said that dialogue is the right way to resolve differences between Pakistan and India, in particular the ongoing tensions along the LoC.

"We favour dialogue between Pakistan and India on this issue in any and all channels that both governments consider appropriate. That s the right way to work through this," Victoria Nuland told reporters at her daily news conference.

“We’ve been saying all week, we think the best way to work through the issues on the Line of Control is for India and Pakistan to work through this directly,” she said.

“They are in direct talks now, and that’s something that we welcome. We very much value the progress that the two countries have made on the economic side, on the visa side, on the trade side, and we would hate to see that jeopardized because it’s in the interest of India and Pakistan and all of us who care about that region,” Victoria Nuland said.

Replying to a question regarding Tahirul Qadri long march she said that it is satisfactory for US that Pakistan resolved the political crisis peacefully.
