KARACHI: At least three people were killed in different firing incidents while seven people including the policemen and recruits injured in a grenade blast, Dunya News reported on Sunday.

 

The blast occurred near Khawaja Ajmernagri police headquarter.

 

SSP Salman Hussain said that Khawaja Ajmernagri police headquarter was targeted by the miscreants.

 

DSP Sher Muhammad said that two motorcycle riders targeted the headquarter with hand grenade, as a pin of the hand grenade was found near the place of incident. He further said that the hand grenade was Russian made and it doesn t contain the deadly ball bearings.

 

Four policemen were performing their duty at the gate of the headquarter. Among the injured the condition of two policemen are serious, police said.

 

The entire area surrounding the police headquarter has been cordoned off and strong contingents of Rangers and police have been posted.

 

Meanwhile, policeman Muhammad Aslam was shot dead near bus stop in Ranchor Line. Another person identified as Amir was gunned down in shoe market while a body was found in Nishtar colony.
