 Four KP MPAs hold fake degrees

Summary Degrees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly’s four members have been reportedly found fake.


PESHAWAR:-During the process of scrutiny by Higher Education Commission degrees of four members of KP Assembly including provincial minister Syed Aqil Shah have been found fake.


The other three fake degree-holders are Sardar Ali Khan and Khalifa Abdul Qayyum Nawaz of Awami National Party (ANP) and Kishwar Kumar, minority member of JUI-F.


District and Sessions Judge Dera Ismail Khan had convicted and sentenced to 3 years in prison to Kishwar Kumar for contesting election on fake degree, however, the latter has filed appeal plea against his conviction in Peshawar High Court.

 

Sardar Ali Khan, MPA of ANP was also arrested under the charges of possessing fake degree, however, he was bailed out later.


The cases of these four MPAs are pending hearing in subordinate courts and high court as yet.


As per KP Election Commission these four members of assembly can contest election unless the court declares them disqualified.
