Summary Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek has said that the general elections will be held on time.
ISLAMABAD: Talking to media outside Parliament House, the federal minister for law said the general elections can only be delayed for one year in case of imposition of emergency, however only the parliament enjoys the mandate to give the approval of imposing emergency.
He said that the elections should be held on time and the government is determined to hold the national and provincial assemblies elections on time.
Farooq H Naek said that the Prime Minster will start consultation with the opposition leader for the caretaker setup when the date comes.
