Summary PTI chief has said that his party would empower the women once it comes into power.
LAHORE: Addressing a seminar here at Aiwan-e-Iqbal on Sunday Imran Khan said that the women would be taken on board in the party’s policy making process.
He said the role of women as mothers, daughters, wives and sisters can make or break a society, our economy and the country.
The PTI chief distributed special lifetime humanitarian awards to the renowned females for their commendable efforts for improving the status of women in Pakistan.
Imran said that when his party comes into power the PTI would ensure special loans for women entrepreneurs, Transport facilities for women would be improved and day care centers will be established to make the lives of workingwomen easier.
He said that he will take special measures for increasing the literacy rate in women in the country, while the literacy ratio in Balochistan and NWFP would be given special priority.
Imran further pointed out that the unenviable status of women in the country is not just about eradicating the most conspicuous forms of injustice against women but one that is essentially linked to the economic and political character of the envisioned national future, he added.
