Summary Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that laptops and yellow cabs cannot bring revolution in the country.

 

BAHAWALPUR: Former Prime Minister Saturday criticized the PML-N for hollow and selfish policies in the name of reconstruction.

 

He said this while talking to media after condoling death of former District Naib Nazim Syed Awais Gardezi. He said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif could not revolutionise socio-economic infrastructure as he has already enjoyed rule.

 

Criticizing on the “Sassti Roti Scheme”, Gilani said that the said scheme run by the Punjab government had badly failed and it wasted the public wealth.

 

He said only the men of ideology may bring revolution in the country; not those who are notorious for changing their commitment.


Commenting on the issue to setup caretaker government, former PM said that caretaker setup has its own significance in the history of Pakistan and it would be established after the completion of due period of Assembly.

 

Yousuf Raza Gilani said that Seraiki province is an important issue and the commission formed for this purpose has changed its direction and line of action.

 

Talking about the achievements of the PPP-led coalition government, he said that when the PPP came into power, it restored the Constitution, gave identification to the Gilgit-Baltistan, FATA, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and now the PPP would surely try its best to do effort to provide due status to the people of South Punjab.
