Summary Snowfall up to 3 feet has been recorded in Murree.


ISLAMABAD: Intermittent rain on Friday in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi increased the intensity of cold.

 

On Friday Rain poured down at regular intervals in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, in addition to other parts of the country. Torrential rains have made water enter the low-lying areas of the twin cities.

On the other hand, snowfall up to 3 feet has been recorded in Murree, which has led to blockade of roads and difficulties for the tourists. Met Office forecast that weather will be clear in Murree today.

 

Plains of Sindh also received rainfall, while Quetta, North Waziristan, Kalaam, Murree, Malum Jabba, and Gilgit-Baltistan came across snowfall.

 

According to Met Office, 41 mm rainfall was recorded in Para Chanar, in Malum Jabba 30 mm, in Saidu Sharif 27mm, in Khuzdar 25 mm, Dir 24 mm, in Bannu, Karachi and Peshawar 22 mm, Quetta 17 mm, Rawalpindi/Islamabad 16mm, and 14 mm rain was recorded in Jhang and Peshawar.
