Summary The National Assembly session discussed the issue of corruption in detail on Thursday.

 

ISLAMABAD: PPP leader Khurshid Shah has said that corruption charges have been leveled only against the federation whereas the provinces were also responsible for corruption.

 

The session of national assembly was chaired by deputy speaker Faisal Kareem Kundi.

 

The members from government as well as Opposition benches took part in the debate.

 

Rejecting the allegations and points raised by the Opposition, federal minister Khursheed Shah said if there was corruption in the country the four provinces cannot be absolved from these charges.

 

Khursheed Shah said if the figures of the NAB regarding corruption are true, it should be enough to open the eyes of everyone.

 


Khwaja Asif alleged that corruption is being done unscrupulously in PIA, Steel Mill, Pakistan Railways and utility stores without any check and fear.

 

MQM Rashid Godil raised the point that the nation had to face the loss of billions of rupees due to container drivers strike.
