Summary Five people were killed while four others got hurt in different incidents of violence on Tuesday.

 

KARACHI: Five people were killed while four others got hurt in different incidents of violence on Tuesday. During this, a police inspector was injured during an encounter with robber who escaped the site of occurrence.

 

In the first incident, unidentified armed men on bikes started indiscriminate firing at Dua Chowk in New Karachi, leaving four persons injured who were rushed to hospital where two of them Aslam and Nadim succumbed to injuries.

 

In another incident, Nadim Abbasi died with firing of unknown armed men on Jamshed Road.

 

Two more persons were also gunned down in two mishaps occurred in Dhobi Ghat and Lyari.

 

Unidentified extortionists also hurled a bomb inside a bakery in Manghopir and blew it up. Fortunately, no life was lost in the attack. But the bakery was completely destroyed.
