LHC grants bail to three suspects of ephedrine case

Summary Rawalpindi Bench of the LHC has granted bail to three accused arrested in ephedrine case.

 

RAWALPINDI: Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi, has accepted the application for bail of those arrested in Ephedrine excess quota case and has ordered their release in case they submit surety-bonds worth a million rupees.


The persons who have been granted bail include former DG Health Dr Asad Hafeez, owner of Danas Pharmaceutical Company Lahore, Ansar Farooq and that of Barlex Pharmaceutical Company Multan, namely Iftikhar Khan Babar.


A two-member division-bench of Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi, comprising Justice Baqir Ali Najafi and Justice Chaudhary Muhammad Younus had heard the arguments in favour of the accused from their counsel, Abdur Rasheed Sheikh Advocate.
