ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said if any force in the country tried to postpone the general elections by self-created tactics, JUI will not let this happen.
Addressing a press conference at the end of two-day meeting of Executive Committee, he said that Supreme Court’s derogatory remarks and orders with the direction to sending the elected government home were against the spirit of democracy and uncalled for.
“If the general elections are delayed on any pretext, the JUI-F will resist the move,” warned Maulana.
JUI-F chief also said that his party would also oppose the law which the government is going to introduce in order to protect the dual nationality holders.
He made it clear that JUI-F would contest general elections from the MMA’s platform.
